The tagine is just the thing for making the Moroccan dish by the same name, as well as stews, ragouts or other recipes which require simmering and slow cooking.

It offers all the advantages of cooking with ceramic: slow, even cooking which brings out the flavours of your ingredients.

The lid has a unique shape, which allows the steam to circulate and helps keep the ingredients tender and moist.

Made with the innovative Flame ceramic by Emile Henry which can be used on most cooktops (gas/electric/ceramic/halogen) and in the traditional oven.

Easy to clean and safe to use in the dishwasher without affecting the colour. Also microwave safe and freezer safe.

The ceramic will also keep food warm for longer once served at the table, it is also light and easy to handle.

The strong glaze protects your tagine from scratches and chips. Metal utensils and knives can be used directly on the surface without causing damage.

Emile Henry has been producing ceramic cookware by hand since 1850 in Marcigny, a small town nestling between the hills of southern Burgundy in France. Only natural materials of the highest quality are used such as locally sourced non-treated clay, and minerals to enhance the colourful glazes. Cadmium, nickel and lead-free, Emile Henry guarantees safe, natural cooking.

Production remains in Marcigny over 160 years later, still carried out by hand with each piece made from a unique mould and signed by the worker who made it: you will find his initials engraved on the bottom of your product.

All Emile Henry products offer a ten year manufacturer warranty.
